Intermediate Accountant – The Role

What would you be doing in this role?

  • Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and Sole Traders
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
  • Preparation of Individual Tax Returns
  • Assist Partners with preparing advice on tax and business issues
  • Management of compliance requirements for a broad range of clients and businesses
  • Liaising with the ATO and ASIC as required
  • Working with the Partners and other team members to complete client work
  • Contributing your passion, enthusiasm and ideas to our growing business

What are we looking for?

  • Degree qualified and CA/CPA qualifications completed (or pretty close to completion)
  • Minimum of 3 years business services experience with an Australian accounting firm
  • Proven experience in tax compliance work
  • Experience with Xero and Xero Practice Manager highly regarded
  • Demonstrated accuracy, quality and efficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
