Luke’s career began in the Royal Australian Air Force, where he spent six years as an aircraft technician. While aircraft maintenance ultimately wasn’t his calling, the experience gave him a strong foundation in discipline, problem-solving and attention to detail, all skills that have served him well in his accounting career.
After leaving the Air Force, Luke returned to university and completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Financial Planning) at the University of the Sunshine Coast. He went on to work with several accounting firms on the Sunshine Coast before joining forces with Beth to establish Empire Accountants in Brisbane.
Today, Luke is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience across business advisory, taxation and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs). He has developed particular expertise in SMSF compliance and strategy and enjoys helping clients navigate the technical requirements that come with managing their own super.
Outside of Empire, Luke enjoys keeping things simple; watching the footy, relaxing at home albiet that is challenging now with 2
small boys and making trips back to the Sunshine Coast for a surf with friends w
when he can.
Luke is motivated by client success and particularly enjoys working closely with business owners to help them better understand their
numbers, make informed decisions and ultimately build stronger businesses.
