Business Feature: Rothgard Financial Partners

Posted 3 Sep '15

We believe that it is imperative to surround yourself with a great business network. Working together with like-minded business owners can assist you, educate you, empower you and enable you to grow your business. Rothgard Financial Partners definitely ticks those boxes for us here at The Empire.

We have known and have had the pleasure of working with Principals, Ross Vanderwolf & Gino Saggiomo, for some time now and have found there is a true correlation between the services we provide and the benefits this can provide to our clients.

The Empire’s passion is all about growing your business; we look at your numbers, compliance and planning to ensure your business is giving you the results you want. Rothgard’s passion is the people behind the business; working with you to define what it is that you want out of life (not just business) and providing a path and the means for you to get there.

We sat down with Gino for a little Q&A time to allow you to get to know a little bit more about Rothgard

Q.Tell us about your business?

A. “We are a full range financial planning firm that focuses on what you want to achieve, rather than what you have got.

A lot of time is spent looking what outcomes you need based on your own specific objectives. We will build your plan – not adapt an off the shelf plan to you.

We adopt a specialization approach, meaning that you don’t just deal with one adviser in the firm – you deal with the most appropriate adviser in the firm depending on your current needs.”

Q. What makes your business different to your competitors?

A.”Our passion is to positively change your life, giving you more time, ability and the means to do the things you want to do.

This means that our clients generally come to us with very different needs. There is no one size fits all / production line approach with Rothgard, we aim to build the advice strategy on your needs. Quite often we don’t need to look at a product, we just need to provide advice. This means that you can be sure that our advice process is no designed to find a product need, but craft a plan that gives you certainty about what you can achieve, and what it will take to do so.

Our specialization approach is very different from our competitors meaning that you get the benefit of receiving advice from a team of people – your own financial team – ready to spring into action when needed.

We say that the best value we add is being able to understand your situation so intimately, that when something comes from left field, you will get an honest, unemotional response that takes into account your long term outcomes. This means that you can understand the financial implications and therefore help you make a better informed decision.”

Q. What is the difference between a financial planner and a financial advisor?

A. Not sure whether you need a financial advisor or planner? Rothgard recently wrote a extremely helpful article on this, see the difference between a financial planner and a financial advisor here.
