1st Choice Fix specialises in Surface Restoration + Protection these two components are essentially our core value as a small business.
We can restore a variety of surfaces including Glass, Stone, Tiles & Grout, Stainless Steel and Timber. Our aim is to provide an option to repair over replacement which is affordable and environmentally positive.
Our Protection services are aimed at prolonging the life of your surfaces. We are accredited applicators for EnduroShield Professional, Dry-treats Penetrating sealers, Lithofin and other high quality trusted Sealants to protect your surfaces well into the future, reduce damage & staining and make maintenance cheaper and easier.
Q. How and when did you get started?
1st Choice Fix was started over a year ago, when Jaxon left a Sunshine Coast based restoration business after 10 years to cater to a new market not being serviced here in Brisbane.
Restoration of surfaces as well as protection, 1st Choice Fix is a dynamic business adapting and expanding to satisfy our clients needs. We work in a range of different industry’s including; Commercial, Residential, Marine, Automotive & Real Estate.
It was a core goal to create a company that was trusted by a wide range of clients and with such a niche it was imperative to provide a great customer experience.
Q. What are some services you can offer to busy Brisbane business owners?
1st Choice Fix has a variety of services useful in a range of different industries.
In your home you may find our Shower Restoration service valuable. We can resurface tired shower screens to remove soap scum and water etching then seal with EnduroShield, making cleaning easier by up to 90% with great warranties, the same process applies to pool fencing where cleaning and maintenance can be time consuming and painful. Q. When did you start using Empire for your business accounting and what differences have you noticed since working together?
I began using Empire for my personal tax over 5 years ago. When it came time to starting 1st Choice Fix I reached out and was overwhelmed with the help and support.

Q. Starting a small business can be challenging in today’s market. What is one thing you feel was a challenge for you and how did you overcome that?
One of the biggest challenges I have faced starting 1st Choice Fix was making potential clients aware that my services existed in the first place.
For instance, glass scratch repair isn’t well known, I’m surprised that replacement is often thought of as the only option. To overcome these barriers, I’ve spent a lot of my time networking, running social media campaigns, advertising online, updating my website and SEO.
All these things have had great benefit. But none match word of mouth. A large percentage of my clients refer me to their friends, family and business’s. My service is 5 star and I genuinely enjoy fixing my clients defects. It’s no wonder WOM is a large driver of business for 1st Choice Fix.
